Bullshit

OK so I know I will get in trouble with this post by a few people but I dont really care. This is my opinion! From a Facebook group....
I don't think I am the only one livid at to prospect of a coaltion to topple the current government. No less than 6 weeks ago our country participated in the democratic process to elect a government, and the country elected the Conservative Party. Now a coalition headed by the Liberals consisting of the NDP and the Bloc Quebecois is threatening to topple government. The worst part of this coalition is that it is arbitrarily seeking to gain power. They are not doing it because of any specific and realistic crisis in the government, it is simply this, they want back in power.THEY COULDN'T WIN POWER, SO THEY'LL JUST STEAL IT INSTEAD.
What happened to democracy??

Last week, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty tabled an economic update in the House of Commons to take steps to reduce government spending and to show Canadians politicians are willing to walk the walk, and tighten their belts. Some of the original measures included cancelling $27 million in tax payer subsidies to political parties ($1.95 per vote, every election, for parties with over 5% of the vote), limiting M.P. salary increases, freezing civil servant salaries, and temporarily ending the right to strike for our civil servants (to ensure stability in the civil service during the worst economic downturn during the Great Depression).
The opposition parties claim a lack of economic stimulus as for their reasoning for a coalition government agreement. Canadians know better than that, and see through their games. We know the only reason the opposition got a backbone was the thought of losing their tax payer subsidies. Our current Government was planning to take the responsible path of delivering an economic stimulus package in the federal budget in January. This was to wait after hearing the provincial needs in a First Ministers conference, and waiting to see which direction the Obama administration would take (in regards to the auto industry) when Mr. Obama takes office in January.
The opposition is demanding reckless action of throwing money around, without first consulting the provinces first. Prime Minister Harper, realizing Canadians would not want an election over this issue, removed contentious portions of the economic update including canceling party subsidies, and civil servant's right to strike. He also pushed ahead the budget date to early January. The opposition parties are power hungry, and will stop at nothing to take hold of power.
In the October 14th election, they never told Canadians they had intentions of forming a coalition government. In fact, Dion, denied this during the election. Centrist, moderate Canadians who voted Liberal didn't necessarily vote for them with the intention they were going to form a coalition with the socialists (NDP) and separatists with full out socialist economics. The Canadian people have not lost confidence in the Conservative Government. Only the opposition parties have, in their desperate blind grab at power.
Fight for better. Join us in demanding democracy be upheld. The vast majority of Canadians do not want a coalition government with a Prime Minister Dion (rejected by 74% of Canadians), with the socialist NDP, propped up by the separatists who want to destroy this country.
The TSX dropped today. Our country needs stability, and these three stooges antics are adding to the economic turmoil are markets are reeling from.
Shame on the Liberals. Shame on the NDP. Demand better. Demand democracy.

Butterflies....

Well Couple of days ago Kenzie and her classmates released the butterflies that they have been raising for the last couple of weeks. The got to watch them grow from catapillar to a cacoon to a butterflie. She thought this was pretty exciting. We all met at the community park to release them... all the students got to take a butterflie in their hands and whisper a secret to the butterfly then let it go. Well out of the whole group there was one lil girl who did not want anything to do with them, was scared to touch a butterfly. can you guess who that was?? YUP your right. Kenzie is just like her Aunt. Scared speachless of butterflies. I remember taking Kenzie and my sister to the zoo and both of them freaking out when we went into the butterfly exihibit. LOL Here are some pics of the butterflies that are so nasty and mean looking that they would scare any 6yr old I am sure of it...

Newest Addition

We had a 5th family member and didnt even know it. Kyle came up from the basement with him. Isnt he cute. I think he has Kyles eyes..lol Addison thought he was cool and Kenzie, well shes scared of butterflies to she didnt think he was cool at all. We took him down to our dugout and set him free. Not to sure if he liked it or not but oh well, if not I am sure he will find his way back home. So just in case he does decide to come back we have named him Sammy. Sammy the Salamander.

Now give her a break, shes still learning she hasn't quite mastered the 3 soothers in mouth but shes got a good start with 2...lol So this is Addison being the best soother sucker out there...lol

See I even have pictures to prove it. Lets just hope she doesnt follow in all of my footsteps!! The top is of Addison with her 2 soothers, and Im on the bottom with 3!!

Tick Season...ugh

Tick

Aren't they the most prettiest creature you have ever seen??? NOT!! I woke up this morning and Addison and I were playing on my bed. Yesterday she had taken a tumble on the gravel road and scraped up her face pretty good and her knees too. Well as we were playing I noticed something dark in the top of her ear, I thought 'hmm wonder how she got blood in her ear'. I then got her to lay down on my lap so I could take a better look. I stuck my finger in her ear to try to clean in out but to my surprise it was a bug. A tick to be exact!! I freaked out, brought her downstairs for Kyle to look at it. He got the tweezers to try to move it and it was stuck there. Not really knowing what to do, and knowing that if the tick is removed and the head is in here ear that that can be really bad. So I packed her up and off to the hospital we went. Once there they sent us to the clinic, cause there were no Dr there. Well after chasing her around the clinic for about an hour we were finally seen by the Doctor. I had always been told that you should burn the tick or drown it in oil to get it out. But all of that is wrong. If you do that then the tick get agitated and will regurgitate its stomach back into your body. The doctor took these fancy looking tweezers and grabbed it. It was a monster of a bug, about the size of my pinky finger nail. Sooo that is how i spent my Friday morning. I have decided not to let my kids go outside to play anymore and if so they are going to be in a big plastic bubble!! lol

Our first week in Saskabush

Well I am going to do this the lazy way and just put up a bunch of pictures in a slideshow. If you have any questions just ask and I will answer them. We are still busy unpacking boxes and trying to get settled in. As you can see Kenzie loves being out on a farm. She loves to go out to the barn and check on her "Ladies".
Addison just loves to crawl in boxes or go thru all my cupboards!
And on one of the photos your probably wondering what the heck I took it for, well let me explain. Kyle decided to put the clothes on the line to let them dry cause it was such a nice day. Well after doing that he had a brainwave or a brain fart, I havent decided yet what it was. He thought it was a good idea to get rid of some of the brush down behind the trees. Well lets think about this for a second... nice clean clothes on the line.... grass fire.... I dont know about you but I dont really like my clothes smelling like smoke....most of the clothes on the line were his work clothes so it didnt really matter but still.... I am shaking me head...lol

Oh how I LOVE UTAH!!

Well we decided to take a trip to Utah. We tried to leave early on Wednesday morning. Our goal was to leave by 7am....well at about 11:05 we were on the road... hows that for mormon standard time LOL
So we are off, all of us packed in there like a can or sardines, minus the smell. My grandma and come along, so between the 3 adults and 2 children our trip was filled with alot of 'potty stops' For the most part the girls traveled well. Although there were times went Kenzie would give the usual shout out of "Are we there yet?" Or at one point it was even "I would rather sleep in a tree then drive anymore"

We finally made it to my aunts house in Idaho at about 8pm, what a long day. I love to visit my aunt. Her house is so welcoming and inviting. You can feel at home there instantly. Kenzie and Addison took to Braden really fast. Kenzie had a blast playing with Braden. And I had fun chasing Addison around the house, trying to keep her out of all the knick knacks... (Aunt Louise you need to child proof your house more!) We then left in the morning for Utah. My grandma stayed in Idaho. This part of the drive is my favorite. The stretch of I-15 from Idaho Falls to Salt Lake, its a pretty drive. We took a detour over to Rexburg to see the new temple. Man is it gorgeous!! Here is a picture of it. Its up on the top of the hill. You can see it for miles. Very majestic.

We were then on our way, but first had to stop for some great food at my favorite place to eat when I am down there.sonic

I love this place... but the best part of the whole meal is the fry sauce. Yeah I know its really to make, but that fact that it comes in its own little package...I just love it. Canada has its poutine, and the USA has their fry sauce.

Alright so after a wonderful burger at Sonic we were off and on the road again. First stop was Idaho Falls to see the temple there. This temple is another nice one.. oh what am I saying all the temples are beautiful. But this one with the falls infront of it makes it really beautiful!

Idaho Falls LDS Temple

Kenzie was amazed that there were two temples so close together. I think in her mind there was only one temple and that was the one in Cardston. Once we were done our short stop in Idaho Falls we were back on the road. We finally made it to Utah in the afternoon. And after realizing that my mom had booked the wrong hotel, and getting lost trying to find the right hotel we were all pretty tired and just wanted to go to bed. Friday we spent most of the day at Temple Square. What a beautiful place in the spring. All the blossoms, all the flowers. I could of sat there all day and just smelled the air.
Words cant really describe the beauty of Temple Square so here are a few pictures.

Our last night in Utah my moms cousin Judy took us out to dinner. She wanted to make it a fun place for the girls so she took us to Tepanyaki. It was so much fun. And the food was great. You order your food, and then the chef comes out and cooks if for you right there on the grill at your table. Kenzie wasn't to sure about the big fire in the beginning. Little bit to close for her likeing. But Addison thought it was funny, she would force out her laugh and clap the whole time.

We then headed back home. Stoped in Idaho to pick up grandma. Spent the night then back on the road again. A nasty storm had just hit Manida pass and so the road where so bad. I hate that pass on a good day! But in the end fun was had by all. And we all made it home safely!!

This next picture is of Addison playing with the dolls at Aunt Louise's.

My lil singer!!

This year Kenzie was asked to be in the Jr Choir at school. At first I was hesitant but then after all of her begging I finally said yes. And I am glad that I did. She loves it. And its so cute to watch her up there just singing her heart out. I dont think she likes the 730am practices that she has everyweek but oh well. Last week the choir sang in the Rotary Festival here in town and they did great.. I am so proud of her. Her grade one choir also sang and they did great too!! The adjudicator had nothing but positve things to say!! She also has a concert tonight with the choir.. I will post some more pictures from tonight later.

Things I will miss!!

As I was driving into town the other day I started to think about all the things that I was going to miss once I leave Cardston. And all my life I have wanted out of this town, but it made me sad to actaully sit down and think of all the memories and fun times that I have had in this town.. So here are a few things that I am going to miss.
The Temple

Its amazing how you can live Cardston your whole life and never really take the time to enjoy the beauty of the temple. We really do take it for advantage. There are many people out there in the world that would love to live this close to a temple, yet its right here in our backyard and we forget about it.

Old Chief

My whole life this has been MY mountain. I dont really have much to say about this one, but Im jsut going to miss it alot. I think its the fact that there are no mountains in Saskatchewan. I am going to have to get a nice big picture of Old Chief and put it in my living room. I love it so much.

My Grandma

HEHE this is my grandma doing what she does best. Pulling teeth. I am going to miss everything about my grandma. She has taught me so much, always willing to help you out no matter what. And I know that my girls are going to miss her too. Kenzie loves to go to grandmas to play and read stories. Im going to miss her bread, cookies, hot cross buns and her creams veggies...to name a few.. I have almost mastered her cookie recipe so I can at least make them when I am home sick for her.

This is Grandma with Addison on her blessing day!

My dads gravesite

Now I know most of you are going to cringe and think 'why is she going to miss that' but this is my place.. This is my place where I go when I am having a bad day, or just need to be alone. I know that I can go here, cry a few tear and then feel at peace again.

And last but not least MY FAMILY

I am going to miss being able to see my family whenever I want. I may not show it all the time but they do mean alot to me. But more then anything I am going to miss my mom. She is my best friend, I know that I can tell her anything and she will not judge me at all... she may laugh at me and make a joke out of it, but I know that she will always be my friend.
