A true wordless Wednesday

Not so much a wordless Wednesday...

Ok well I do have to admit that when I first started this blog it was my goal to update it everyday or at least every other day. And well as you can see that hasnt happened much. So heres an update from the last couple of days.
Yesterday was Kenzies first eye exam ever.( ya ya I know I am a horrible mom) By the way if anyone is in need of a optometrist Dr Tatabee in Lethbridge is awesome with kids. Anyways the appointment went as follows. The waiting room, the measuring of the eyes by the assistant, and then seeing the actual Doctor. Because it was her first time there they did all of the medical history questions...high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, etc Well then she asked Kenzie if she was allergic to anything. And without skipping a beat my 6 yr old bursts "nope not allergic to a dang thing, but my mom says I am allergic to work cause I never clean my room" I thought the Dr was going to die laughing. It was pretty cute. After all the inital exams were done Dr Tatbee wanted to do one more thing, this required putting eye drops in her eye( thats a whole other story) Well what these drops do it dialate the pupils. Well it did its job perfectly, she looked like the cat Puss in boots off of Shrek.. I took a picture and she even tried to pose like him too..lol Well once it was all over it was determined that Kenzie did in fact need glasses. It didnt really come as a shock. Both of her parents have glasses. But what did come to a shock was that how weak her eyes actually were. Her right eye is really bad, almost to the point of a lazy eye. Which I had no idea. There were no signs, I never noticed it. So she is to get glasses wear them for a month and then go back and get them checked again. If her eye has not improved much then the Dr wants to put a patch on her eye to give it some time to relax. Well since I am a mom and all when I heard those words my heart started to ache. Kenzie is so tender hearted to begin with, and for all of you that dont know she has been thru alot because of my first marriage. So when I found out that she needed glasses let alone maybe a patch down the road I wanted to cry mainly cause I know how cruel and rude children are these days.So when it came to the glasses I didnt care how much they were I wanted her to love the and look so cute in them. So then it was off to the glasses to check out what ones she wanted. There were tons to choose from, but it didnt take long to find the ones that she wanted. I tried to look on the internet for a picture to put up here but I couldnt find the right ones. But I guess you can wait a day cause we do go and get them tomorrow. But anyways back to the glasses. They are the square shaped one, with kind of a thicker frame. The frame part is bright purple and the arms are bright orange... they are so adorable. The glasses have such attitude, which is so her. They are a perfect match I cant wait to get them. This is picture is of Kenzie and her eyes, not the most flattering picture but oh well.

Family Pictures

Well we finally got some new family pictures done. Victoria and Matt came down and Darcy and Jocelyn came into town. Its amazing that just 6 years ago our family was only 4 people but now it has grown to 12 people. Here are a few of the pics.

Young, Saskatchewan

Well like I said earlier... today was a very sad day at our house. Today is the day that Kyle leaves for Young Saskatchewan. We have had a few job offers the last month or so but when it really came down to it this job was the best choice for our family. Its another dairy job, but that is what Kyle seems to like. It comes with a nice house with its own yard and a nice new barn. Kenzie is excited to be able to have a calf of her own and to be able to have chickens.. I dont think she knows that work comes with all of those animals. I am just excited to have a house of my own. Its going to be an adventure I am sure, but I am up for the challenge. The only hard part of this all is that I wont be moving until the end of June. We both think that it would not be good for Kenzie to be taken out of school again. So I will be staying in Cardston with the girls until Kenzie is done school. Thats a whole 4 long months away from Kyle.... I hope we will survive.

A Family Day

Well yesterday we decided to take the kids into Lethbridge to the Ramada to go swimming. It was a blast. This was Addisons first time swimming in a pool other then the one we bought for the backyard last summer. She had so much fun. Kenzie enjoyed it too. There is a wave pool, hop tub, 2 waterslides and a kiddie pool with lots to play with. The wave pool is were I spent most of my time with Addison. Kyle and Kenzie went down the slides a few times. Kenzie then wanted me to go up with her. And well to be honest I dont really like them but after Kenzie called me a chicken and a scardy cat a few times I thought I cant let her show me up. So down I went. Yeah I will admit it in the end it was fun. Addison even went down with Kyle once. She seemed to like it. It was nice to spend the day as a family and have fun together. We have accepted a job offer out in Saskatchewan and yesterday was the last day to spend together as a family because Kyle left this morning for Saskatchewan.
